A bit early for ski season, but here we are starting December with a bang. Aussie Man and Van teamed up with our sister company Ward-Thomas Removals, to travel across France to the wonderful Val D’isère.
We sent an awesome team for our London to France removals – which was staffed up with six strong men, three huge removal trucks, and two Luton vans. It was a great chance for the crew to bond and build employee relationships – after all, there was no turning back once they departed! The job involved extremely long hours and loads of hard graft. The crew went from loading contents at our storage depot in NW10 7PB, to arriving at the ferry port (on time!), to driving through the great French Alps, and unloading at destination.
No matter how hot or cold the weather, we love handling moves outside the United Kingdom. It is a great escape from the standard London terraced houses and mansion blocks. The French scenery is beautiful. There is always a battle between crew members as to who gets allocated these types of move. As you can see in the pictures, the crew snapped some delightful views – from chilling blue waters, to frosty mountain tops. One downside was driving through foggy clouds and along icy roads but did they give up? No! The guys carried on without hesitation to guarantee a timed delivery and ensure a first class service.
The team enjoyed stopping off in cafes for warm croque-monsieurs and relaxing after a long day tasting local French beers. The evenings varied, including a freezing cold night’s sleep in the trucks cabins, and warm and homely overnight stays in stylish Chateaux. This made a change from the usual Travelodge bookings!
